5 THINGS TO KNOW... Our website lamarlibrary.colibraries.org provides 24 hour access to the library catalog. If the library doesn’t have an item you want, we may be able to borrow it for you from another library.  Books and other library items take at least two weeks to arrive and come through the statewide interlibrary loan system. You can request materials yourself by logging into the library catalog , or a staff member can request it for you! Magazines, journals, newspapers, and automotive repair manuals in print and on-line. Current issues of magazines do not check out, but back issues do. The library offers wireless access 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Access is lightly–filtered for illegal content, but otherwise open. Laptop users can also gain access through the Cultural Events Center wireless network. Tours of the library for homeschoolers, classes, or any group. Just call, and set up an appointment. We have books, movies, magazines and computers in Spanish. Return boxes are located in the library entrance on the south wall, or the after hours return boxes are located on the 4th Street south entrance. We offer services to the blind/visually-impaired. Patrons can receive shipments of talking books from the Colorado Talking Book Library. They offer large-print books & magazines. The LPL also offers large-print books. On Demand computing and Internet Safety Classes for parents and kids. Call if you need help or would like us to design a class for your group. We have Awe Stations — learning computers for preschoolers and kids in primary grades. One of these stations is bilingual. Sign up for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library! Children from birth to age five can get free books delivered to their home. The Lamar Public Library Board meet on the third Wednesday of the month at 11:00 am
