It is a place where your work collides with what you love - in a good and wholesome way” 3 LIBRARY DIRECTOR, SUE LATHROP Sue Lathrop came to our library in 2017. From the beginning, she was faced with a plethora of challenges. Sue was immediately thrown into defending the library and staff which she handled with grace and tenacity and because of this she received the Julie J. Boucher Memorial Award for Intellectual Freedom Sue is passionate about libraries and finding ways to offer a variety of services and programs. This makes our library relevant and current to meet diverse needs. Sue brings invaluable knowledge and expertise making her a great conversationalist in almost every library topic. Sue is a forward thinker and embraces any change that comes our way with a hopeful smile, already planning ways to make the library better. Sue is an essential building block of all events to come in the future that work to build and shape our wonderful community. Sue’s everyday duties include: prepare and oversee library budgeting, monthly/annual reports, ordering supplies, attending meetings, webpage maintenance, strategic planning, updates policies and procedures to stay current, READsquared, grant writing, Trailblazer Theatre Company, ensuring compliance with laws, hire and motivates library staff, and so much more!
