The Friends of the Lamar Public Library now have monthly book sales! The July Book Sale will be held on July 9 and 10 from 9am - 1pm. Proceeds help go towards programs such as the Dolly Parton Imagination Library and our Summer Reading Program! New items are added every month!

Friday, July 10, 2026 Willow Creek Park (Pavilion next to the swimming pool) Free Admission! Event Schedule 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Afternoon Swim 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Meet, Greet & Eat 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM: Evening Swim At Dusk (Approx. 8:00 PM): Movie & Popcorn featuring Zootopia 2 Exciting prizes will be raffled off during the event, don't miss your chance to win! Whether you want to cool off in the pool, enjoy delicious food, meet city officials and healthcare representatives, or watch a movie under the stars, there’s something for everyone.
Lamar High School DECA is sponsoring a food drive competition during Lamar Public Library’s 2026 Summer Reading Program! The food donated during June 2 - July 20 will go to Sparrow House Ministries
