The Friends of the Lamar Public Library now have monthly book sales! Usually the first Friday and Saturday of the month! Proceeds help go towards programs such as the Dolly Parton Imagination Library and our Summer Reading Program! New items are added every month!
Thank you to all of our summer reading participants, you made this summer one of the best in recent memories! We had a Community Reading Goal of 200,000 pages. You all read a combined total of 407,234 pages! You CRUSHED it! Children (Infant-8th grade) read 201,267 pages Adult (including 9th-12 grade) read 205,967 pages We wanted to thank our Friends of the Library! They are incredible and the main reason we are able to offer amazing prizes, crafts, and wonderful guest performers! Thank you to the City of Lamar, BJs, McDonalds, Quiznos, Daylight Donuts, Sonic, Lamar Parks and Rec., Little Caesars, and High Plains Community Health for all your contributions and free coupons! HUGE Thank You to our Teen Volunteers. We have five volunteers who put in a lot of hours this summer and we appreciate all their hard work.
